When I talk to Ohioans on the campaign trail, I hear a lot of frustration about the chaos coming out of Washington. There’s a lot of pain, too, with families struggling to keep up with rising prices, put food on the table, and access the health care they need.
Right now, Ohio doesn’t have a senator who’s fighting for them, and that’s a real problem. Jon Husted is the rigged system that allows corrupt politicians to enrich themselves and help billionaire elites, all while hardworking Ohioans get hurt.
Husted rigs the system for billionaires and corporations, even when it hurts Ohioans.
But here’s the thing, folks: I’ve been hearing something else out on the trail. Something that keeps me inspired. Fired up. Ready to flip this seat for working people.
It’s a heck of a lot of hope.
Despite everything our state and country are going through right now, Ohioans have hope that a new, better day is possible. The people I’ve met, the stories I’ve heard, the places I’ve been – it all just reaffirms why I’m in this fight.
So today, I want to share just a few highlights from the road with you. If you’re short on time and want to make sure I can stay on the road, talking to voters, you can click here to chip in to our grassroots campaign ahead of the end-of-month deadline.

I stopped by Lekko Coffee in Cleveland, where I had a great chat (and a great cup of coffee) with Matt, the owner. He shares my belief that when Ohioans are paid a living wage, we all thrive. Small businesses are the heart of every community, and I’ll always fight for them.
I spoke to Ohio veterans who are angry about this war in Iran, a war that Jon Husted has voted in support of five times. Our veterans know the real costs of war. They don’t want to see their fellow Ohioans shipped off to fight another endless battle – and neither do I.
In Columbus, I shared the message of our campaign with a packed room of supporters. Our grassroots movement for working people is growing larger every day.
I had a really insightful visit to POET in Marion, a biorefinery that’s working to provide affordable and accessible fuel for Ohioans. At a time when gas and diesel prices are spiking, E15 offers a vital way to help Ohio farmers and drive down soaring fuel costs.
In Warren County, I’ve never seen the kind of energy that I’m seeing this year. Pictured below is just one of our stops. Ohioans deserve leadership that actually works for working people – and folks are ready to fight for it.

It’s been an honor to meet you all out on the road and hear your stories. I’m so proud of the people-powered movement we’re building.
With experts at The Cook Political Report recently shifting this race further in our direction, now calling it a “Toss Up,” the momentum is on our side. But today, I need your help to keep it going.
Thank you so much.

As an ex-Ohioan I’ve been following you for years. I really hope my old neighbors are smart enough to send you back to Washington.
