My Decision
To tell you the truth, I never planned to run for office again.
But after seeing the chaos, cruelty, and nonsense coming out of Washington – and hearing from my neighbors in Ohio – I had to jump back in.
Too many Ohioans are struggling to afford the basics. Hardworking families are having to choose between filling up the tank and buying groceries. Our farmers are facing soaring diesel and fertilizer prices right at the start of planting season. Single parents, seniors, and young people are paying more for health care.
And the truth is, everyone’s just trying to make it. But the system is rigged against them.
What we’re seeing out of Washington isn’t solving these problems – it’s only making them worse.
Too many Washington politicians – politicians like Jon Husted – are siding with billionaires, utility companies, and big corporations. Not enough are asking how they can help working people live a decent life.
I can’t tell you how devastating it was to see half a million Ohioans’ access to health care put on the chopping block. And it was so Washington politicians could hand the richest among us a tax break.
That’s not how our government should work – or who it should work for.
I’ve long believed that if you work hard, you should be able to afford a decent life. You shouldn’t have to pinch pennies or skip meals to take care of yourself and your family.
Ohioans are frustrated, and they’re right to be. It shouldn’t be this hard. But Ohio families don’t have anybody in Washington right now focused on making their lives better.
I’m not somebody who can stay on the sidelines while our leaders abandon the people who make Ohio and this country work. And if you’re still reading this, I think you understand why, too.
I love Ohio. I love our country. And when you love something, you fight for it.
That’s why I’m running for Senate. Because I’ve devoted my career to fighting for Ohio, and I’m not letting up any time soon.
Many folks have been asking what they can do to help, and I’m always humbled by that commitment. It’s moving to see how many folks want to get off the sidelines with me and fight against a rigged system.
If you’re reading this, you’re already one of the most engaged folks in this campaign. But if you’d like to take the next step, it’d mean a lot to me if you can share this message with a friend or chip in a couple dollars. No matter what, I’d be honored to have your support.
Thanks for sticking with me.
Sherrod
👋 Wait! Before you scroll away:
Sherrod Brown is running for U.S. Senate in Ohio to make life better for working people and take on the corruption in Washington.
But winning this race won’t be easy. The polls show this race is caught in a dead heat and dark-money super PACs are set to spend millions to defeat Sherrod.
We need all hands on deck to defy the odds and win this race. Will you chip in today to help Sherrod flip this seat and give workers a real voice in Washington?

I share that the system has been rigged against many.
Consider the use of the various AI systems and models. That they can misconstrue the truth through various methods including the human users or operators of them.
I am already supporting you and Amy Acton. When I find out who is running in my home district 14 for the US House of Representatives (Democrat of course) I will also support him or her.
