The courage that you are showing; fighting for the people shows us that you will stop at nothing to get things done for the people. Things that really matter, rule of law, food, shelter, safety just to name a few. Your words have strength and those words are filled with honesty, compassion and reliable intent to work for the people of Ohio. You are setting an example for the rest of the nation. Mr. Brown: the reactionaries--I refuse them the title "conservative"--call Democratic Socialists Communists, but even though many of them may not know it, the principles of Democratic Socialism--a living wage, the right to unionize, the right to strike, Social Security, and many others--come straight from the New Deal. And how did they get into the New Deal? Mainly through the efforts of Senator Robert Wagner, a Catholic convert from Prussia whose inspiration was Leo XIII's Encyclical Rerum Novarum. I suggest it would be advantageous to point that out, especially to Catholics, the vast majority of whom have never heard of either the New Deal or Rerum Novarum. To all intents and purposes, most of the American Catholic Hierarchy seem to suffer a like ignorance. Wagner attempted to get an anti-lynching bill passed, but FDR was afraid to go that far lest he offend the. emerging Dixiecrats. I'm a paratroop vet of the Korean War, and my book about Catholics radicals of the 60s, The Laws of Heaven won, the National Jesuit Book Award.

I agree with everything you are saying about Husted; but it is not enough to win over independents.
Please let people know how you intend to counter republican policies that are harming their livelihood.
